Good CD

| This CD has been a good addition to my CD library. The cello In track 7 is especially delightful. There are 4 songs songs written by Korngold from the robin hood soundtrack they are present in all their Glory. |
DOA - Dead On Arrival

| Reviewer: William F. Flanigan Jr., North Potomac, MD USA |
This somniferous, undistinguished, and lightweight recording contains about 18 minutes of cues from Erich Wolfgang Korngold's film symphony which is the focus of this review. It often borders on cruel and unusual punishment for the listener in general, and is sheer torture for Korngold enthusiasts. Nonetheless, it is a courageous undertaking for a regional orchestra (the East of England Orchestra). If you wish to encourage more regionals to perform and record Korngold's film music (highly recommended!), buy this CD. If not, move on. |
